Brit and Chips is popular, and the McGill St. location is often full, especially the outdoor seating on a nice day. While there are positive aspects to the restaurant, I personally don't fall into the category of people who adore the place. I admit that deep fried food is not my favorite, but I do like to eat fish and chips from time to time and somehow my experiences at Brit and Chips have left me wanting.

going right, and indeed Holder offers a dependably pleasant brasserie
experience. The ambiance is lively and the food is generally satisfying. Holder performs well in many categories, but does it do enough to provide an outstanding dining experience?
